Skincare and haircare are typically types of products where I don't actively pursue, but I do love trying them out time to time as any product can have the potential to become a staple in my hair and skincare routine. Of course, such products take a while to try out in order to formulate an actual opinion on and so, after testing a variety of products, these have made the cut to my most used:
Le Petit Marseillais Extra Gentle Shower Cream Body Wash - Vanilla Milk. A while back I was sent this product to try out and I was intrigued as I never used a body milk before and loved the idea of taking an extra moisturizing step for my skin. This really is such a soothing and gentle body wash that lathers easily, but also washes away quickly, providing an overall effect of smooth skin with a pleasant subtle scent. This product also comes in a variety of other scents of which mine is "Vanilla Milk" which I am so glad that I chose because it reminds me of a scent that I have been seeking ever since my childhood!
L'Oréal Micellar Cleansing Water Complete Cleanser.* Before using this makeup remover, I was using the Garnier one, but as that has apparently stirred up some controversy regarding its ingredients, I ventured to seek another drugstore micellar water. I always prefer micellar waters for makeup removers as they are so quick, easy, and mess-free compared. This L'Oréal micellar cleanser is fantastic: it easily clears the makeup from my skin with just one cotton round and, as I use the waterproof version, it also quickly, yet gently removes my waterproof mascara. The only negative is that it can leave a bit of an oily residue, but with a quick rinse of water, the oily feel quickly goes away and just smoothens the skin.
The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream.* This is probably my most raved about skincare product on my blog which shows that it really has become my all-time favourite moisturizer. It's a fuss-free day cream that I always every morning and especially underneath my foundation (instead of primer); it's not too oily or tacky and provides the perfect hydrating base. This is probably my 6th tub!
Schwarzkopf Moisture Kick Shampoo.* My hair is not dry, but it is not the most lustrous so I'll always go for any moisture that it can take. So, when I was sent this shampoo I was excited for the results especially considering the highly reputable brand of Schwarzkopf. What I love about this shampoo is that, while is adds moisture to my hair, it also doesn't make my hair greasy or limp; in fact, I feel that my hair becomes thicker with more texture. I've always heard great things about the Schwarzkopf brand and now I understand! They also have a large variety of other ranges that accomadates other hair types and needs.
