Summer Skin Radiance

I've heard so much about this foundation across many years which is always a good indication that a product is really good as it still stands out among the rapid and frequent product releases from other competitive brands as well as from Rimmel themselves who have a vast quality range of foundations . I've always found myself to be a matte kinda girl for makeup, but recently I've been realizing that variety is what makes makeup so much more fun. The summertime is undeniably the season of radiance and glowy skin, which means that my beloved Maybelline Fit Me matte foundation may not always be the best choice to wear on a hot summer day. So, I thought that I would give in and explore the raved about Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation.

       

This foundation claims to be radiance boosting, illuminating, and natural looking. I believe it accomplishes all that. If you're looking for the ultimate dewy skin, this doesn't do that; instead, it displays an overall radiant and healthy glow to your skin. When you swatch it, you can detect small bits of shimmer in it, but don't let it scare you; on the skin, it provides such a radiant quality to your skin that reflects off the light and sunshine so beautifully, yet in a subtle way. What I absolutely love about this is that it feels very light, yet provides very good medium coverage that you can build up. Also, when I apply it, it leaves a pleasant cooling and fresh sensation to the skin and it also can come with SPF 15 which makes it even more perfect for summer! Also, it have a fruity scent which I find interesting for a foundation.

My shade is in 100 - Ivory which is the lightest shade. I was afraid that it was going to be too dark for me based on the bottle, but the actual product appeared a good match once applied. I would also say that this is quite a neutral foundation; not too pink nor too yellow.

Overall, I feel that this foundation would be your best friend if you have normal to dry skin (like I do). It doesn't cling to dry patches and just leaves a very hydrated and light base.
