garnier micellar water makeup remover bioderma review
I'm sure you've heard about the Garnier micellar water. In fact, you've probably heard it in context with its more expensive Bioderma counterpart. I personally am not a skincare enthusiast my any means, and I only do the bare minimum which I also do believe is all that is necessary. So, for the past years, I admit that I've only used wipes to remove my makeup, but honestly each time I did, I was kind of mad at myself since I knew that it wasn't really good for me. So, I finally decided to purchase the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and of course, that always means a review!

Firstly, what is micellar water? It technically contains micelle molecules that acts as a magnet to pull away the unwanted particles from the face, without any rinsing or intense rubbing. That sounds like a dream, and quite frankly, it works like one too. This product is not an ordinary makeup remover (which is for face, eyes, and lips!), but also provides additional benefits such as its claimed cleansing and soothing properties.

I'll tell you now, this does an excellent job in removing my makeup. Typically it will take 1 or 2 maximum cotton pads for my entire makeup which makes it super easy and very effective. You're probably wondering about waterproof makeup; even though Garnier also carries a makeup remover specifically for waterproof makeup, I find that this one works very well for me. Whenever I am wearing waterproof mascara, I always make sure to first wet my fingers with water and gently rub my lashes to soften them; once I do that, the residue mascara slips right off with the remover. The liquid is very gentle and does not require intense rubbing; rather I simply place the pad onto my face for a second or two to absorb, then swipe away. As for the additional skin-soothing qualities, I do indeed feel that my skin is always super smooth and quite emollient upon each use, which then lives up to its claim.

All in all, this product is something my skin definitely appreciates. Being one for a quick and easy skincare regime, this is a great multi-task product for me as it also provides additional skincare benefits. No wonder this is so highly raved about! You can order this product from Beautyspin.com which offers it at an especially affordable price than it already is!

  3. I use the Bioderma one, but I'm currently running low on it. Maybe I'll pick this one up next as it's a cheaper option! I actually want to see how it compares to the Bioderma water. Great post :)
