As far as I can remember, I have always been solely committed to liquid foundations. It's not because I don't want to try out other formats of foundation (because I do!), but I've always felt that liquid foundations were easiest and simplest. Recently, there's been many innovative releases for foundation in an attempt to counteract the typical liquid to a more fuss-free and travel friendly format, exemplified by the plethora of stick and cushion foundations. Thanks to Influenster, I received a complimentary cushion foundation by the brand Laneige, and let me say that I now understand the appeal to cushion foundations!
This is the Laneige BB Cushion Hydra Radiance foundation in the shade 11 Porcelain which is the lightest shade. I hadn't really heard of the brand until lately so I was even more excited to be trying out a new brand. This foundation claims to brighten the skin, even skin tone, and create a "flawless complexion" as well as offering moisturization and hydration. In terms of these claims, I would say that it indeed evens and brightens my skin tone while still balancing a natural light coverage. In terms of hydration, I definitely feel this has those moisturizig properties as upon application, the foundation actually feels wet on the skin which gives off a very pleasant feel without feeling tacky or uncomfortable throughout the day. Even though this is a BB foundation which is typically sheer and dewy, I do feel that the coverage of this product is buildable to a medium coverage and it dries down to almost a matte or semi-matte finish, but without drying out my skin or creating any dry patches that typically happens to me with other foundations.
The foundation accompanies a cushion puff which you use to push into the cushion to receive product and then tap and blend onto the skin. I actually prefer using a dense flat top brush for a heavier application, but this puff is a great option to use when I prefer a lighter coverage. What I also love about this product is that in the box, it also comes with a refill plus an extra puff, so it's like having 2 foundations!
Overall, I absolutely love this foundation and see myself using this product exclusively this summer! Also, this product is already available on the Sephora site and in stores, so you check it out! Have you tried out this foundation or this brand yet?
