The Only Red Lipstick You Need.

You know those times where you envisage something 'perfect' in your mind, but can't actually obtain it in real life? That's what was going on for me for the past couple of years - I had the image of the most perfect rich deep ruby red lipstick. To be specific, you know those fascinating models on the Zara webite who almost always wear the deep red lipstick? That was what I was looking for. Little did I know it came in the form of... Lady Balls (ahem...). Particularly the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick* in the shade "Lady Balls".

First off, the shade is exactly what I was looking for: a deep, rich, blue-based blood red. Not berry toned, nor a firetruck red - just a perfect deep red. In terms of the formula, it is as great as the shade, thankfully (I wouldn't want to compromise formula for shade!). It is super comfortable, especially for a liquid lipstick, plus super long-lasting. Seriously, it's a mission to remove it. Perfect formula, plus perfect shade? What more could a girl (or guy) want?!

To compare between this shade with a typical 'firetruck' red,
"Lady Balls" is evidently deeper and cooler based, whereas
the latter is brighter and warmer.

Top: Too Faced "Lady Balls"
Bottom: L'Oréal Le Matte "Mad for Matte"

It's safe to say that this has become my staple red lipstick, especially for the upcoming months as I like to opt for deeper shade in autumn/winter. What is your favourite red lipstick?
