Must Have Products in My Brow Routine.

It's taken quite a while to establish a brow routine that I'm happy with. I feel like this applies to many of people as well since brows can be quite a tricky thing to work with in terms of makeup. It's been around a year now that I've settled into a consistent brow routine of which I'm really satisfied with and even though the products have changed throughout this time, I can confidently say that what I use now and how I use them are just what I need for my brows. Hopefully this will help you in discovering products that might assist you in your brow makeup.

The Brow Pencil. In one of my recent posts, I did a review on two great drugstore eyebrow pencils. I did declare this L.A. Girl Shady Slim Brow Pencil as my favourite, although its not too different from its L'OrĂ©al  counterpart. I highly recommend either one as they draw on very natural hair-like strokes and its spooli end also comes in handy. If I had to use only one brow product, it would definitely be a brow pencil, particular this one.

The Brow Gel. I absolutely love this product and I actually just opened my second tube this morning! This Rimmel clear brow gel is quite an essential for me as it sets down my long brow hairs without being sticky and disguises the strokes I've drawn with the pencil by merging my natural brows with it. Its lasting power is not flawless, but it is nonetheless very helpful and effective.

The Concealer. I cannot express enough how much of a difference cleaning up around the brows with concealer can make. Filling in brows and using brow gel can sometimes create a mess around the perimeter of your brows so concealer works amazingly in defining the brow shape and cleaning them up. I actually reserve only the CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer specifically for this purpose as it is not very hydrating so it would not slip around and fade away (I avoid it under my eyes though!).

The Brushes. Sometimes I use one of two brushes to blend in the concealer, one primarily being the Real Techniques pointed foundation brush. It may be a quite large brush, but honestly it's my all-time favourite for this purpose because of its size as it allows me to easily and quickly blend the concealer along the entire edges of the brows and also blend away the excess concealer. For more precision, however, using a brow definer brush is great for cleaning up very close to the edges of the brows.

These are the products I use in my brow routine and I am glad to say that I am very content with them after a while of trial and error! What are your must-have products in your brow routine?

  3. I actually never ever used concealer around my brows, but now I think I'm missing out on something. Definitely will try it when I'm doing my brows next time.
