Products to Give You That Summer Glow.

This is the time of year where dewy and glowy skin is the priority when it comes to skin makeup. That look can be achieved in a number of ways and through a variety of products - dewy foundation, shimmery blush, highlighters, etc. I'm usually inclined towards a matte finish, although sometimes (and especially this year, for some reason), I am growing more towards the dewy skin look. So here are a few products that I love to use to achieve that summer glow.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. This is one of the drugstore classics when it comes to a dewy foundation. It really is radiant, to the point where you can almost see visible shimmer particles on the skin. I'm not complaining about that as I think of it as a pretty effect on the skin. My gripes with this however, is the shade range (not light enough for me), the fruity scent, and the low coverage although I do sometimes like that aspect as means a fresh and natural finish for the summer. Overall, I reserve this foundation exclusively for when I want a very dewy skin look of which it really does give me.

Bourjois City Radiance Foundation. I absolutely adore this foundation. It's offers buildable medium coverage and achieves a pretty dewy skin finish without any visible particles. Again, the floral scent is a con for me, but I can definitely get past that.

Sleek Blush By 3 Palette. Shimmery blushes and cream blushes are two forumale that are perfect for the dewy skin look. Shimmery blushes, like the first and last shade (which arrived shattered!) in this "Pink Lemonade" palette give a pretty glow that can be used as a subtle blush or as a blush topper atop a matte blush. The second blush is a bright cream formulation that gives a subtle glow to the apples of the cheeks.

Rimmel Kate Sculpting and Highlighting Palette. This is a great multi-function palette that I also reserve for this time of year. The highlight in this "003 Golden Bronze" palette, gives a subtle golden glow and the blush is very similar to Nars' Orgasm blush, giving a pretty coral with a golden glowy shift.

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette. This is probably the ultimate standout when it comes drugstore highlighters. Four highly pigmented, unique, yet wearable shades to the point where you don't really need any other shade. This palette has definitely filled my highlighter needs ever since I got it.

    1. Me too! At first, I was reluctant to start using blush, but now it is my most favourite makeup product! Sleek is a great brand, so that's a great way to start with blush!
