The L'Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara is currently one of the most raved about products. I love when a drugstore product becomes the centre of attention, especially when it's talked about as being a dupe for a high end product, namely the arguably most famous mascara: the Too Faced Better Than Sex*. I personally have not tried the Too Faced mascara and when it comes to mascara, I never feel the need to try them out from high end brands, often because I am very satisfied with what the drugstore offers when it comes to mascara. For a very long time, my favourite mascara has been the Maybelline Lash Sensational* which has also received much fame and praise. Whenever I discover a mascara that I really love, I don't really venture out and try new ones, but after hearing the flood of amazing reviews of the Lash Paradise*, I just had to try it.
First off, the mascara's claims:
- volume
- length
- full lashes
- feathery lashes
- no flaking, smudging, or clumping
As to my experience, I truly feel that the mascara accomplishes each of its claims - and more. It creates the most pretty fluttery and feathery lashes, mimicking a false lash look. It adds volume as the formula is not runny or wet, but is instead a bit on the drier side - without clumping. It adds length as the hourglass-shaped wand's bristles coat up to the tip of the lashes. As well, it holds a curl! With my straight lashes, this mascara actually adds more curl after I curl my lashes for only a couple of times - although bear in mind that I use the waterproof version. Also, it wears very well throughout the day without any flaking or smudging.
Has this replaced my beloved Lash Sensation mascara as my new favourite? Honestly, yes! Besides the gorgeous pink metallic packing of the Lash Paradise (no mascara can really get prettier than this!), the actual performance is exceptional. It's quite rare that I get highly impressed or even excited by a mascara, but this one really is a gem! Have you tried this mascara or compared this to the Too Faced one? DeleteI really like this mascara. I do have to be careful with my inner eye because the wand is so big. It took me alittle while to get use to it. I would like to see if they have a waterproof version. Great post! You're picture is so beautiful. http://www.mrsqbeauty.com
