I don't feature skincare products that much on my blog because quite frankly, I don't really do much for my skin. I believe that using too many products on the skin can do more harm than good. Plus, I'm in that period of my life where I'm satisfied with how my skin is doing, but I'm also mindless enough to not do much to maintain it. I don't sweat it, at least for now, but I do have a selection of products that I do love using and love what they provide my skin.
A simple moisturizer is one I absolutely agree on to include in one's skincare routine. I'm a devoted user of the The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream which I particularly use right before applying makeup as it not only offers moisture to my skin, but also a smooth and clean canvas for my foundation/concealer. It's not too slippery (which is a feeling I cannot tolerate) and is unscented which I also appreciate. Overall, it's a great, fuss-free daily cream that I can't do without.
A product that I don't use on a daily basis, but enjoy nonetheless is the Neutrogena Deep Clean Purifying Clay Cleanser & Mask. It's an interesting product in that if you apply it and then immediately wash it off, it acts as a simple cleanser/makeup remover; however, if you leave it on the skin for a few minutes, it hardens and works like a mask. I don't always use it, but I love the purifying feel it gives my skin. This is one that I definitely turn to for those pamper sessions.
I've had good experience with Nip + Fab products and one that I'm currently enjoying is the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Night Pads. They are really innovative as it substitutes the usual fussy cream consistencies and instead opts for simple pads that deposit the product onto the skin. These pads in particular offer exfoliating effects, but in a really gentle way. I like to rub just one pad for the entire face about once a week.
Finally, my favourite makeup remover: L'Oréal Micellar Water Complete Cleanser (Waterproof). This stuff is amazing for removing my makeup (including waterproof mascara) in a really quick and easy way. I just drop a few droplets onto a cotton pad and gently rub it into my skin - the makeup just glides off. Plus, it doesn't leave any oily residue that makes you want to wash your face with water afterwards. This is a staple (I'm on my third!) in my routine!
