Most likely, a bright eyeshadow palette is probably not one that everyone feels they absolutely need. Personally, it's taken a long amount of years to actually appreciate bright eye makeup; this may perhaps be due to the current embrace the beauty community has towards more dramatic and unconventional makeup which have now become the most popular and prevalent looks on YouTube and Instagram. This evolution really has characterized bold makeup as a skillful art form rather than tacky 80s / 90s makeup. Thus, I found myself wanting to at least own the right tools to maybe hop on the bandwagon (baby steps, right??). Of course, I didn't want to splurge on a palette that I knew I wouldn't get the most use out of so I steered clear from the currently popular Urban Decay and Kat Von D palettes, and ended up with the drugstore gem: the NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in "Brights".
Of course, this is a brightly coloured palette, however, I find that the top 2 rows (reds, pinks, and oranges) are actually quite "wearable" and even remind me of the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette (minus, the neutral shades). Also, the palette is comprised of mattes, shimmers, and even 3 pressed pigments, which according to the site, are shades 2, 3, & 6. Thus, I feel that this is actually a palette that I feel fits well in anyone's makeup collection and you may be surprised with how much use you get out of it.
I highly recommend this palette and the brand in general. What do you think of this?
I don't have any bright eyeshadow palettes so I would go for something affordable like this, too! The shadows look so pigmented, I haven't tried any from Nyx but I love their lip products :)

I totally agree! I also don't have much experience with NYX so I'm enjoying trying them out recently!
DeleteHaven't tried the NYX eyeshadows but they look great. Currently loving any NYX product I've tried (setting spray, blush, lip creams, concealers).
