Bourjois City Radiance Foundation

I've heard so much about the Bourjois brand, particularly their foundations. Unfortunately, Bourjois is not easily accessible in Canada, but I made it a point to try out the brand, nonetheless. You can purchase the product on Beautyspin.com, a site that contains a multitude of popular brands and products at great prices. One of Bourjois' latest releases is their City Radiance collection, one of its products being the City Radiance foundation: a product that stands as the perfect summer foundation: radiant finish, SPF 30, lightweight feel... the epitome of summer skin.

      

First off, the facts. The product represents 3 main claims: 

1. Anti-pollution formula (blocks chemicals/pollutants from clinging to the skin)

2. SPF 30

3. Radiance-boosting pigments

My shade is 02 - Vanilla: yellow undertones for fair skin; a perfect match for me! Bourjois is one of the few drugstore brands that skew towards yellow undertones for their foundations which I really appreciate, however, apparently this foundation's first shade, 01 - Ivory, contains pink undertones. I've heard descriptions of this foundation as being similar to a tinted moisturizer, but honestly I feel that's just a misconception due to its BB cream -like packaging. I believe that this is indeed a foundation (which the product claims to be), which I actually personally prefer. The consistency is not heavy at all; it is lightweight, very hydrating for my normal to dry skin, is buildable, has medium coverage, and it's even fruit scented. Plus, the packaging is a pretty pale pink in the form of a squeeze tube.

My thoughts? I absolutely love it! It is definitely my go-to foundation especially for when I want to opt for a dewy and fresh finish. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this. I'm not sure how this would perform on very oily skin as it does offer a luminous finish, however I do not feel that its radiance is out of control by any means and it lasted very well throughout the day. I highly recommend this foundation if you're in search of a lightweight and radiant skin base, especially for the summertime. Bourjois is definitely a brand that is on my radar now and I am excited to try out their other products.
