5 Products To Fake Looking Awake.

There are those days where you're trying to pull through with a lack of sleep from the night before. Or, sometimes there are those days where you're just not feeling your energized self. This is when the power of makeup steps in and can not only transform your look into a more awake complexion, but can also automatically make you feel awake. Personally, applying makeup on days where I wasn't initially enthusiastic can actually uplift my attitude. Regardless of reason, some products and techniques can be employed that strategically have the ability to create the illusion of being wide awake.

Concealer. Under-eye concealer can be totally transformative as beneath the eyes is the #1 spot that betrays you with your lack of sleep. Opt for a few shades lighter than your complexion for a noticeably brighter area or select one that has pink undertones which can correct darkness.
Highlighter. Dewy and glowy skin often corresponds to looking "healthy", so a dewy base or highlighted areas on the face are effective ways to counteract any dullness of the skin.
Mascara. Looking awake is often synonymous to wide and open eyes which mascara definitely achieves. By lifting your lashes and darkening them, mascara contributes to combating those sleepy eyes.
White Eyeliner. It's an old trick, but a very effective one. White eyeliner can create the illusion of larger and even brighter eyes, so apply onto the waterline for an instant revitalization.
Red Lipstick. Of course, you can opt for whatever shade you prefer, but based on my personal preference and experience, a red lip can distract from an undone makeup look and can instantly make you appear put together.

What ways do you achieve the "awake look"?
