5 Favourite Nude Lipsticks.

If you've been here for a while, you will have realized that I am hardly the nude lipstick wearer. Perhaps that's because I feel bold lipsticks suit me better or also because I usually tend to wear a bright lip and a neutral eye. Sometimes, however, nude lipsticks do come in handy for me whenever I go for a more smoky or colourful eye look as it prevents an overload of colour on my face. Having said that, there is a wide variety of nude shades and undertones that I like to wear depending on my look or mood. A while back, I wrote a blog post on bold lipsticks for the nude lipstick lover; now here's is a collection of my most loved and used nude lipsticks - from a bold lipstick lover!

Tarte Tarteist Matte Lip Paint - "Birthday Suit". This is actually my all time favourite nude lipstick. I discovered this product thanks to the Sephora birthday gift last year and despite not being totally excited over a nude shade, I tried it out anyway and loved it. What really drew me to this was the shade: it is the perfect neutral toned nude that isn't too dark or light on me. So, before even finishing the deluxe size, I purchased a full size! In terms of formula, it's quite good for a liquid lipstick as it isn't very drying, but it is not exceptionally smooth or lightweight either as it does crumble a bit a few hours in. Nonetheless, the shade has really become the perfect neutral nude that I can wear no matter my eye makeup!

Too Faced Liquified Lipstick "Melted Chihuahua". I also received this product as a sample from Sephora. This lipstick is pretty much the shiny version of the Tarte one and I think that's the reason why I love this so much. Firstly, the formula is beautiful - it adds shine, yet isn't too sticky and gives off a pretty voluminous effect to the lips. This product is actually quite a big deal for me as it's made me go beyond my comfort zone of non-nude matte lips!

Too Faced Melted Latex High Shine Liquified Lipstick - "Hopeless Romantic". This is my favourite light warm nude lipstick shade ever. The finish is quite shiny, yet not so much so that it appears too wet or feels slippery. In fact, the formula is quite heavy on the lips and at first feels unpleasant and tacky. However, through a bit of dabbing on the lips to smooth and sheer out the pigment, the overall finish is a very flattering glossy look that gives the look of pouty lips. It's my go-to nude, especially during the summer time! Also, it's currently over 50% off at Sephora*!

L'Oréal Le Matte Lipstick - "She's So Matte". This "Le Matte" is one of my all-time favourite lipstick ranges ever, and that goes across the board in terms of the shades. This shade particularly is a matte dark-ish warm nude. The formula is beautifully velvety and rich in pigment.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick - "Sell Out". Apparently, I love Too Faced lip products! This is the matte one of the bunch and is, in fact, one of the very few liquid lipsticks that I own and actually enjoy wearing. It is not too fast drying and easy to maneuver around the lips. The shade is quite similar to the previous lipstick as it's quite a dark terracotta-toned shade. Overall, a very flattering shade that is, I imagine, quite universal across all skin tones.
