5 Underrated Makeup Products That Deserve More Love.

There are those makeup products that take the makeup world by storm that sometimes really do deserve the hype and those that sometimes don't; then there are those products that are of amazing quality, but for some reason don't receive much recognition. That's why I enjoy reading and writing posts like these since it's always fun to discover and share lesser known products that others have personally enjoyed. Here are five hidden gems that I feel deserve a lot more love:
The Too Faced White Peach Eyeshadow Palette is one that has received some controversy and debate regarding its quality: some love it and some don't. However, it all comes down to your preferences. As expected, its sister palette which is its warmer counterpart ("Just Peachy Palette") has been praised, but for us in the minority who prefer cooler and softer shades, this palette is perfect. It houses shimmers, mattes, and glitters, cool, and some warm shades; overall, it a soft and subtle toned palette beautiful for those who look for just that. (Full review on this palette here.)

There are countless high-end foundations in, however, I rarely hear anyone speak of the Laneige BB Cushion Hydra Radiance Foundation. This foundation actually made me understand the hype over the cushion formulation. This one in particular is beautiful on the skin: natural, buildable, and offers a skin-like satin finish, plus SPF 50! It has definitely become a staple in my collection. (Full review here.)

As much as people rave over eyeliners such as those by Kat Von D, Stila, Tarte, etc., the Sephora Wink It Felt Liner trumps all of those. Now, I haven't tried those aforementioned ones, however, if the Sephora review section can be relied on, most people agree that this Sephora own-brand liner is better than the rest - plus cheaper. Super pigmented, long-lasting, and fine (yet not too fine) point, plus it comes in a variety of colours. It's my "holy-grail" for sure.

There are so many lipsticks on the market that it's alsmost excusable when a lipstick range goes unnoticed or unmentioned by the beauty community. However, I do want to give a spotlight to the Revlon Matte Balms that are matte lipsticks in a crayon format, but offer a balm-like texture that adds comfort to the matte finish and high-pigment coverage. I own several shades from this collection (which is quite expansive) and it's one of my all-time favourite lipstick ranges. I highly recommend!

I often find that high-coverage concealers are rarely found at the drugstore, however, the Rimmel Match Perfection is a hidden gem in that regard. I reserve this concealer for when I need full-coverage, yet the concealer isn't heavy or thick. It's flattering on the skin and easy to blend, yet really does cover what I need in a natural way. I rarely hear anyone talk about this, but for me, it definitely holds a significant spot in my collection. (Full review here.)
